Coach Quinn
Q: What’s your favorite part about coaching at Evergreen?

A: I love building relationships with my athletes and watching them grow as gymnasts and people! Seeing an athlete gain confidence is so rewarding

Q: What is your favorite event to coach (or practice yourself)?

A: It depends on the level for me! For rec gymnasts, I love to coach bars. It is really challenging to build the strength for bars, so it is exciting when they get that pullover for the first time! But for my competitive athletes, I prefer beam. It is much easier to spot!!

Q: What’s your go-to coffee or snack order before practice?

A: Recently, I’ve been on a pink drink kick . I also love Twix!

Q: If you aren't coaching gymnastics, what are you doing? (hobbies, other jobs, family, etc.)

A: You will most likely find me in the dance studio, in my office, or at home reading a book

Q: What advice would you give to a new gymnast just starting out?
A: Gymnastics is scary, but you can be brave! When skills start feeling difficult, that’s when we put in the work to grow. Just because you struggle with something today, doesn’t mean you won’t be capable of doing it tomorrow

Coach Emma
Q: What’s your favorite part about coaching at Evergreen?

A: Honestly it's been such a privilege to be a coach here at evergreen and I love the whole experience from watching the kids learn a new skill and get excited to ring the bell, to laughing with them over a funny school story they are sharing, or just simply making memories with them one practice at a time. So I guess you could say my favorite part is them!!

Q: What is your favorite event to coach (or practice yourself)?

A: Its a toss up between the floor and the beam. But I personally love working on my floor skills. The beam is fun because it's unique;there are so many skills and fun team games you can do on the beam, so those are my two favorites.

A: I love a good almond milk chai latte as a treat some days before practice.

Q: If you aren't coaching gymnastics, what are you doing? (hobbies, other jobs, family, etc.)

A: When I am not coaching I am either studying for exams, working as an lna, or hanging out with my family. I have a big family so there is always someone to hangout with. One of my new hobbies is trying to out aerial silks, it's been fun to learn and definitely an ongoing challenge, too.

Q: What advice would you give to a new gymnast just starting out?

A: I would say to first have fun, this sport should be fun for you. Second if you don't get a skill it's okay, just keep practicing. We are here to help achieve your goals and inspire you to do your best. Gymnastics is an incredible sport that's both challenging, yet rewarding.
