TADPOLES (PARENT/CHILD)
Tadpoles get to dive into the fun by adjusting to the pool in a playful, social setting! They’ll experience water entry and exit while picking up essential skills like blowing bubbles, kicking, and floating. Parents also get in on the action, learning key water safety tips and the best ways to hold and support their little swimmers!
Ages: 9 months - 2.5 years
Swim diapers are required and child must be able to sit up.
GUPPIES (PARENT/CHILD)
Guppies dive into learning water entry and exit while developing basic swimming skills! This program is designed to boost coordination and dexterity for this age group. They will also start practicing submerging their heads under the water. Parents will learn essential water safety tips and proper holding techniques to help their little swimmers thrive!
Ages: 2.5 - 4.5 years
STARFISH
Starfish are ready to take the plunge! They’ll learn how to submerge, float on their front and back, kick, jump, and even retrieve objects in the shallow water. These little swimmers are growing more confident in the pool, now enjoying the water all on their own—no parents needed!
Ages: 4.5 - <6 years
Preschool Level 1 & 2 Swimmers
For independent preschoolers with no parent in the water and are able to follow directions without parent guidance
MINNOWS
Minnows are diving in with confidence! They’ll work on submerging, floating, and moving through the water like little pros. Get ready for front and back glides, kicks, rollovers, jumping, and retrieving objects. These little swimmers are making a splash as they explore the water!
Ages: 5.5 - <8 years
Preschool Level 3 + Learn To Swim Level 1
If your child is under the age of 6 and has not taken a Starfish class before, we recommend signing them up for Starfish.
TROUT
Trout are introduced to essential swimming techniques, including freestyle arm and leg movements, rhythmic breathing, backstroke, and treading water. As they improve, they'll make their way to the deep end of the lap pool, gaining confidence and mastering new skills along the way!
Ages: 6 - <12 years
At this level, swimmers must be comfortable going under water
DOLPHINS
Dolphins build on the skills learned at the Trout level, perfecting techniques like rotary breathing, front crawl, backstroke, elementary backstroke, breaststroke, and treading water. They also start diving and learn key kicks, including the scissor kick and dolphin kick, as they continue to develop their swimming abilities!
Ages: 7 - <13 years
At this level, swimmers must be able to float/swim independently
